Ayurvedic Skin & Hair Powder Mask

Suitable for sensitive, acne-prone, normal & oily skin.

Note: can give the hair a soft brown glow.
Instead of following this DIY, you can also add a little powder to your shampoo, conditioner or hair mask.

Instructions:
Supplies:
• Oil (e.g. virgin coconut oil, macadamia oil or castor oil)
• The powder mix

1. Warm up the liquid. Do this with the double boiler method (no boiling).
2. Pour the hot liquid into the powder and mix until it has a fine texture. Adjust the thickness of the mixture to your own preference.
3. Apply the mask to your scalp and hair from roots to ends (or only the scalp).
4. Massage the scalp for 10 minutes. You can use your hands or use a scalp massage brush.
5. Apply a plastic cap so that all nutrients can be better absorbed by the hair.
6. Leave the mask on for 1 to 2 hours. Or let it work overnight for optimal results. (Rinse the mask out of your hair before it hardens, be careful if you use cocoa butter, for example.)
7. Rinse the mask well with lukewarm water and start your wash as usual.

Use the mask with every wash (1-3 times a week).

If you only add water to the mask, note that it hardens faster and you have to rinse it out earlier.

Do a patch test on your neck first if you have sensitive skin. Avoid inhaling the powder. Do not let water or wet fingers get into the jar. For external use only. Keep cool and dry. Do not use during pregnancy or breastfeeding. Keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes, rinse thoroughly.

You can make the mask with water only, create your own DIY or use the ingredients below.

Instructions face/body mask:
Supplies:
• 1 tsp of honey
• 1 tsp yogurt (without additives) or mashed banana
• 0.5 to 2 tsp of the powder mix

1. Mix all ingredients together until a fine structure is formed.
2. Make sure the pores are open (e.g. hot towel). Apply the mask.
3. Let the mask sit for 10-15 minutes (remove the mask when it hardens).
4. Then rinse it off with lukewarm water. During rinsing it can be used as a light scrub.
5. Use micellar water after rinsing off the mask.
6. Apply your moisturizer to a damp face.

Use the mask every other day until you see improvements, then use it twice a week.
